King's Lynn Town 1 Dorchester Town 2 Att 523
Let me first start from saying all of you that don't attend games any more YOUR MISSING OUT BIG TIME. Yes we may have lost 2-1 but the passion and desire these lads showed today was outstanding and after not being able to attend games over the past couple of years I was glad to be back, As those of you who know me I say it as I see it and the views I express are my own personnel views.
First half was a pretty even half with neither team having many chances and the only one that Dorchester had see them score, Lynn had much more of the ball as we looked to be playing a contained set-up. If the ref who well putting it bluntly couldn't keep up with play had spotted a couple of incidents then the half time score of 1-0 could have been 2-1 to Lynn, in the dying mins thing's got tasty with Dorchester being reduced to ten men shortly after from the the game resuming the ref blew for half-time which for the life of me cannot understand as Lynn was on the attack and as I'm aware he shouldn't have until play had been turned over to the other team.
Second half Lynn was out five minutes before Dorchester and IMO this was one of the little mistakes we made as it took the team a little while to warm back up, first 15 minutes started much the same with Lynn looking to contain the play then after the switch and Sam Mulready coming on and Lynn switch to play more attacking the chances came thick and fast and it didn't take long for Lynn to make it 1-1 with a screamer from Jacek, Lynn continued to attack and if Liam had converted Stevo's cross instead of scooping the ball over then Lynn would have been going into the final 15 being able to switch the play back to defend. But we continued to press and Stevo missed a few chances that on another day he would have buried. With the game drawing to a end within a matter of seconds from a Lynn attack Dorchester had the ball in the net and it was game over.
So IMO should we have settled for the draw? Yes. Should we have played a different formation? Yes. Did we play with 100% passion? Yes. Can we bounce back? Yes. Is the play-off dream over? No.
This is my view from the game others have there's.
IT'S NOT OVER UNTIL THE FAT MAN SING'S.....KEEP THE FAITH.
